Our Business

Our specialty is hand woven baskets made with rattan reed.  Basket weaving is one of the last arts that cannot yet be done on a machine ~ therefore, each basket is unique and will one day become a family heirloom. 

We can custom make most any basket you could want, in addition to the baskets pictured on our site.  When placing your order, please make a note if you desire any special color/accent requirements.  Baskets can be natural reed (no stain) or be stained with our all natural black walnut stain.

Who We Are

 When we are not enjoying the most precious grandbabies in the universe, riding our bikes or attending a Syracuse Chiefs game, you'll probably find us weaving or teaching people how to make baskets.

We started our business in 2000.  Late in 1999, Anthony had hernia surgery and in trade for the doctor's fees we made, filled and delivered 20 fruit baskets to several hospitals in Syracuse for the nursing staff at each hospital the Doctor worked for. 

We enjoyed it so much, we decided to make a business out of it.  Since then, we have traveled as far as Cortland to teach people how to make baskets, as well as out of a room in our home we call our "basket shop."

We have met so many wonderful people and look forward to each and every class. 

No previous weaving experience is necessary to make a basket ~ our youngest customer was only 5 years old!
